Full and/or Part Time Phone Audit Specialist positions available.


Primary Purpose

Completes insurance premium audits for Worker’s Compensation and General Liability policies by preparing relevant information; scheduling appointments; conducting each audit in accordance with departmental and company guidelines and standards.



Essential Functions and Responsibilities – Job Description


A Premium Phone/Virtual Auditor conducts audits to determine the actual exposures and premium to be charged for policy coverages. A Premium Phone/Virtual Auditor will work from home with no travel .



A Phone/Virtual Auditor will perform the following task:


  • Examine the insured’s records by comparing records to tax data; gather data to determine correct classifications for business activities and write an effective description of operations
  • Prepare for the audit by identifying the necessary information and type of records needed; detecting any scheduling restrictions.
  • Prepare schedule to maximize optimal use of time
  • Correspond with insured via phone, email and mail to setup audit appointments
  • Communicate audit status via internal reports

NEIS will provide the following:

  • On the job training
  • Benefit Package - Matching 401K, Dental, Life, Medical, Vision
  • Base pay – paid weekly
  • Production pay – paid weekly
  • Equipment to complete job effectively
  • Reimburse miscellaneous, such as, phone, internet, etc. - monthly

Required/Preferred:


  • One year prior audit experience is required
  • Associates degree in Business, Accounting or related field preferred
  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting or commercial insurance will be considered in lieu of a college degree
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial documents
  • General PC knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of Visual Audit is a plus
  • Ability to communicate well with external and internal customers
  • Represent NEIS, Inc. in a professional manner
